Tonight
only tonight
let me be once more alive.
Even if there's festive gaiety tomorrow
even if people break open their own graves
and show up in their white new shrouds,
someone seeing another one would not say:
"show me your beautiful face hidden under your scarf."

Tonight
for tonight's sake
bring to closure your unpaid debts.
Another day you will not recall
my name and I, yours.
